Founded in 2019, The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship is a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. The CUE is the Nation’s first Legal Aid organization created specifically to provide Intellectual Property related legal services to Entrepreneurs, Small Business Owners, Innovators and Creators. Every successful business or creation starts with a great idea! Intellectual Property Law involves the protection, legalization, and monetization of those ideas. We work with our clients from the initial development of an “idea” through creation of a business.
Intellectual property refers to the legal rights and protections granted to creative works such as inventions, artistic and literary works, symbols, names, and designs. Protecting intellectual property as a business is crucial to prevent unauthorized use, reproduction or distribution of creative works, which can result in financial losses
Small business sustainability refers to the ability of a small business to operate in a profitable, socially responsible, and environmentally conscious manner over the long-term, while adapting to changes in the market and customer preferences
Entrepreneurship is important for immigrants as it provides a means of creating economic opportunities, overcoming language and cultural barriers, and contributing to the local economy and society
Your generous donation will allow us to provide legal services and programing to underrepresented entrepreneurs, small business owners, and creators.
